We energetically guide our students in the mastery of a rigorous traditional curriculum that prepares them to attend a highly competitive high school program through a unique school experience defined by the following characteristics:
• Eleven-month school calendar
• Longer school day (8:00 to 3:30), with sports and other activities after school
• Limit of 12 students at each grade level. Qualified, trained, effective teaching staff
• Curriculum and training from supportive area independent schools
• Computer and other technological training
• Christian instruction and chapel at all levels
• Sports programs that now include soccer, flag football, basketball, and tennis.
• Outplacement and scholarship assistance programs for 8th grade families
• 80% enrolled in the Federal Free or Reduced Lunch Program
• 98% African-American; 2% Hispanic
